    Problems with AdultWebWare Content Manager

Is anyone else having problems with the AdultWebWare content manager?

I'm running their paysite manager on a couple of sites and this morning the AWW engine is crashed. I went to their site www.adultwebware.com and it is down.

This leads me to believe that the engine of their content manager is somehow linked into their server. So if their server is down, then any site running the AWW software is down.

I can't examine the code because it's compiled. If anyone else is using AWW, please let me know if your site is working or not.

    Thanks,
    Grinder

    Dear Grinder,

It was not crashed, it was just got working slowly.
You could contact us and we fix that within few minutes.
Since you've got one copy absolutely free and you have "resold" just 2 sites, we have set up a protection to make sure you are not going to cheat.
I don't understand the purpose of this post.

Also, as you remember the deal was that we give you 1 copy free and you resell Adult-Engine for others.

We have got no any resold sites from you since 11-02-2003.
So, we will have to terminate your free copy in the end of this month (orgyhell) as promised in march.

I.e. you've got 3 copies of the Adult-Engine just for $360 and not $750 as it costs to others.

If anyone want to know more about this case - I will provide conversation history and financial documents copies.

I think Grinder's concerns are valid no matter what his relationship with the program is. I don't even think I know Grinder, but the reaction to his post is pretty sad.

If I bought AdultWebware, my business shouldn't rely on whether your servers are online or not. The fact that it's compiled code is a main reason I won't ever buy it for my own usage. I would be concerned about the way you got all defensive about the post too. Enough to completely call him out for not selling enough, and offer to provide full details to anyone who would listen. Pathetic.

So does the adultwebware site have to be up in order for the script to work? If I bought the script and their site went down my paysite would have no members area?

No, it has not. If you buy full license, it's running on your own. Even if all AdultWebware.com staff will be killed occasionally, your Adult-Engine copy will still work as long as your server is up and running.

It checks license expiration date at our website ONLY when you have a leased copy ($25 / month). Even then if our website is down, you members area works 100% accurate. In the Grinder's case there were this license check because of our exclusive agreement (he gets 1 copy free for reselling).

This protection were created for security purposes only as I have said already before. If you don't pay your $25 monthly fee within 2 weeks past due payment date, it blocks access to the admin panel (you can't make any changes). That's all it can make.

If you do not want that 0 simply pay in full for unlimited use license.

          All that easy.
