Login script

Hi,
the Strongbox does something (not sure what) to minimize unauthorized logins, but it doesn't seem too be reliable and it does not stop infinate number of attempts.
What script is out there that will lock for an hour (or whatever) a user or/and IP after certain number of attempts?

strongbox blocks the user if it is a real one AND the ip

the multiple attempts you see are coming from different IPs....proxy servers.

The good news is it proves its working....

the only thing the Strongbox does is writing larger and larger their warning line, even after 100!!! attempts I was still able to try to login.
I don't think Strongbox blocks anything, they can't give more than 100 attempts, right?

If you can guess the password in less than 101 attempts, you have picked a bad password.

It's not about guessing password, it's about letting them guess endlessly (automated with some scripts) without blocking them. So, I just want a script that will block a login for an hour after several attempts.
