                  Funny you mention Hostgator - They are a classic example.

                  Yesterday I was 'chatting' with someone on Sky support. I thought it was a bot at one point - Totally useless.

                  They are like the Indian call center guys - If the answer to your issue does not pop up on the computer in front of them their heads implode.

                      the best support is by tickets if they can get answered/resolved in 5-10minutes time frame
                      next on my list is live chat support
                      and last is phone

                      tickets are really the best since they leave trace what went wrong and when, how did they solve it and when... etc... so it's easy to trace later...
