Anyone using Piwik for server side stats?

Yes, it does create additional load (like any script) but as long as your server is tuned properly it should work fine. I've had to troubleshoot high loads many times in the past and found that it's almost always either Apache running its default configuration or MySQL with insane settings for the server it's running on.

im trying it now on one site as a test seems to give good results but fuck it will take some time to roll out across all websites

Also don't do what I did, order a load of popunders and forget you had Piwik on the landing page.

I'm gonna try this as I have very low traffic but a lot of sites and right now I cant get monthly stats because it times out fetching them.

Update: Worked really well, I can see my shitty traffic a month at a time now! Woohoo!

Shitty traffic is just un focused and un filtered.
