We have a few hundred webmasters submitting to our site, all we ask is for a recip in return.

I finally got around to writing an app to check broken sponsor links and broken/no recip webmaster links, and was just shocked to see the number of webmaster links with the recips removed.

Seems pretty much across the board too... even from some very trusted submitters who might have done redesigns and forgot to check their linking structure. Just never found time to put into an app to check... glad I did now though.

In just over 10 days I've removed over 5,000 broken links or non-recip links. I'd say it's only run through 1/3rd of all the links as well.

Pretty crazy the number of down programs and submitters who either take off your recip or no longer have working sites...

Oh well, the app is rock solid now... also added a lot more checks before a submitters gallery can make it into queue

Yeah have ~ 250 or submitters.

It's all done in .net w/ sql server db. To be more correct, it's just two extra processes I added to our backend app.

hello, we have a hardlink trade and i found 866 links to barelist without recips to my website (mostly categories that you deleted or where you deleted all the links). There is no problem with that, but just to be fair, check that your links to timdir.com have a recip to your site in my page.

Were you really surprised this many didn't have recips? Come on now...

I used to run a link list. Now as soon as those webmasters who deleted your links notice they aren't getting any more traffic from you they will all email you and tell you how some terrible mistake occurred and your recips are back up. Then you will see they take them down 2 weeks later.

Yeap I temp redirected model profile and thumb pages with zero galleries or info to a generic submission page.

Actually rethinking hard links, don't even add them to newer models on the site... but I'd let people know if I change my mind

I see many people doing it with blog hard link trades so Im very careful who I trade with nowadays.

We make 15-35 galleries a day, and only submit to PicHunter (11) and FreeOnes (3) so most galleries don't even have recips... but yeah I never try to screw either of those two sites by taking off recips either.

It's pretty crazy how many official sites go down each month as well.

I'd say each week my app reports at least 3-5 official sites that have been taken down. Also I'd say the same number of twitter accounts have been closed... mostly new girls who I guess dropped out of the adult industry...
