    W2K/IE problem

    What to do?
Every time I enter a wrong url in my browser, I get a default error page : http://www.internet-optimizer.com yadayadayada something wierd!.
I run win2K prof, how do I change the default error page?
Something activeX stuff? Coz this prob started when I got that fucking dialer smashed in my head last night, and after I removed the thing.
    Any ideas?

Oh, I have IE 6.0 as browser.

my problem is even worse when i click a link to go to a site it goes to another site that i had visited previously and sometimes a site i have never seen before. For example i will click on a link on the yahoo home page and i would be taken to gofuckyourself or some other site. This is happening on my new pc and also happend on my old pc which dont share the same hard drive.I have checked for viruses and spyware and there is nothing Does anyone know what else it could be? This only happens in my explorer browser

Damnit... Used adaware.. scanned.. found and removed 141 objects.. restarted... default error url still there!

                        Guess format c: will work...

I have run into this 404 problem before, but not "ack's" problem . that seems FUCKED
When you use the IEAK to build a I-Explorer package, you can determine the start page with a local policy, but i need to find the setting for your W2k system - need a little time

Ack: do you run through a proxy?
