What power source do I need?

I'm rebuilding a computer and bought the motherboard and processor listed below. What do I need for a power source? The one I have right now says 350 maximum, 300 recommended. Should I get a new power source or is this one good enough?

300 Watt is really nothing, so I would say get at least a 500 watt (80 Plus dual rails if possible) PSU. You have a decent mobo and cpu there don't use a cheap power supply and have it blow up on you under load.

Oh, and don't get a cheap one that I've seen many people do. Go with a Corsair or Thermaltake brand, They will last years and are not that expensive.

That PSU would be fine. Just make sure you get a PSU (this has it) with 1 x 4+4 Pin EPS 12V or you won't be booting the system at all. This plugs into the 8 pin (blue) right next to the cpu)

Case looks ok, Just be aware that some of the bottom mounted power supplies can be a little touchy, Not all Power supplies have really long cords to reach to plug into the mobo and the 12V connections next to the cpu slot.

That psu you listed there has long cables, But just keep that in mind.

What graphics card are you getting? Or have?

I won't be playing games or anything heavy, graphics wise, on this computer.

I have had good luck with the Rosewill PSU from newegg. I have 2 in use now for a few years. I usually buy 2 PSUs one for backup on the shelf. I have replaced a few PSUs over time -- downtime is a bitch and you get raped at Best Buy or the computer shoppe for parts sometimes ...

If I build a new box this year I'll probably go 6 or 8 core AMD and a 700+W PSU.

Watch for specials at newegg -- I picked up an Antec mid tower case for $50.00 a few years ago -- Antec builds a great case I was really impressed! I would buy another in a heartbeat ...

Yep, bottom mount PSU is nice to hook-up or replace -- I have 2 of them both Rosewill -- there will be extra power source plugs for fans, crossfire, SLI -- works out nice. Has enough SATA plugs for all your devices -- 8!

Someone who knows a lot about computers once told me "never go cheap on your power supply." I've done well by that advice 10 years later.

Don't get into the barely-enough mindset. I would go for no less than 750w. I use 1000w at least, but I have 4 hard drives and gtx580 vid card.

As I mentioned it will. But if you decide to go with a different PSU just be sure it has all the connections you need for that Motherboard. And you can tell what connections you need by going to the motherboard site (or there haven't looked) and looking at the "specifications" It will list there the connections you need.
