Can anyone explain this:

I submit articles through 2 usernames. Both signed up and submitted at the same time.

1 user for serious, non spam stuff. To promote a technology mainstream site. Not selling anything. Still waiting for the really well written article to get accepted. 3 days already.

The other user to obviously spampromote mainstream blogs full of ads. The first article got accepted within hours and now i can submit as much as i want and it gets accepted almost instantly.

Not complaining but it just doesn't make sense to me.

Had a site that got ranked well fairly quickly solely off an article base submission a few years ago. Okay if you want to throw up fairly low quality stuff.

I tend to find niche specific sites to submit to these days though and submit much higher quality articles. Good traffic and helps more with the seo I believe.
