Group A is linking to group b. B links to C. What about C. What do i link there?

Simply link those together that are relevant to each other. Don't link to others.

Try linking like this: A1-B4-C7-D3-A4 and so on. You'll eventually end up with a huge linkwheel, which Google is unlikely to pick up on.

Linking to your own sites isn't going to be as effective as you think. If you have 10 sites linking to 10 of your other sites, Google will eventually group them all together so it's like you have 1 site linking to another site, kinda.

Are your sites on separate ips? if all your sites have the same ip address then there is no point to link them together, if not then your good. a good tactic is to have a couple sites on different ips and hosting providers..
