Creative Galleries get better conversions??

I've spent the last few days comparing conversion ratios for galleries in our program, and just realized that all things being equal (same model, same photo set, same size thumbs, etc.), a gallery that has an original design brings much better sales than those that are just a header and 3 rows of thumbs.
Is this true for your galleries as well?

I do best with clear minimalist style designed galleries which include a 15-20 word call to action.

It makes sense to me as a surfer/customer. If I see some old style gallery, that's what I'm going to assume the content is, as well. Old, outdated, same old porn on every other site. If I see a new gallery with a modern look I may be fooled into thinking the content is new and modern, as well.

attraction is a good statement. something new is what makes surfers interested.

It depends on what and how you are selling. Way too general to assume all porn sells the same with the same design style.

I once submitted a gallery with all of the images upside down. Good CTR.
