I'd just like to say that so far this years Internext is the best one in the last 5 years.
At last years show, I thought it was finally done for. And of course in years past, the old regime at AVN would practically assrape the attendees and not really give anything back in return.
AVN basically had no presence at their own show in my opinion.
But this year?
Theo and Panos and their staff have really done a fantastic job. They seem to be everywhere at once and making sure that everyone had everything they need.
They have treated Claudia Marie and myself with respect and have definitely made me a fan of theirs.
Just a small example: Last night we went to The Hustler Party at The Hustler Club. The moment we walked up the steps we were met by a guy from AVN who called to me by name and said that Theo and Panos wanted to make sure that Claudia Marie and I went to their roped off section and had plenty to drink.
That's the kind of little touches that make for a good event.
The show itself seems to have a lot more folks as well. I was speaking last night to another old school guy. He came up to me and was like: "I haven't seen you in 10 years". And then he pointed out that he has seen lots of people like that. Folks that haven't been to a show in years are here now.
And the general feeling among people that I spoke with was very optimistic. My gut feeling, and that of a lot of others is that we may have finally bottomed out and can start turning this thing around.
I'm really looking forward to the GFY party tonight at Body English and the CEO dinner tomorrow night as well.
