There are free tools for extracting e-mail addresses from files and web pages (search for e-mail extractor) but it's best to offer your visitors free porn if they subscribe to your mailinglist and there is a great free open source php script for this but I forgot the name... mailinglist php or something like that. It's free but they can also install it on your site for small fee. And I agree with Damien, my sales have always been top during Xmas.

Just use a simple opt-in form on your sites. Then pour that info into either YNOT for paid mailings (they're great) or into POMMO, a free mailing software program.

Bribery. Offer them something. Anything. Free zipped galleries, free movie clips, heck even a free trial to a site. Just offer them something of perceived value in return for their email address.

As to the technicality of capturing, then your email sending software will give you code to do that, be it PHPlist or Ynot or whatever.
