Help building an affiliate program !!

I was wondering if I could get some input on building an affiliate program.

It is actually not for an adult website or even an adult product. However I am assuming that anyone with experience building an adult affiliate could help me with mine.

Can someone push me in the direction of software or script packages that can handle the program.

I can give more details of what I need done but would prefer to e-mail or ICQ someone with the info.

most adult processors(CCBill, iBill, PSW, et al) also process for mainstream sites too ...

Why not just have them manage your affiliate program ?

As far as them doing the processing. Do they also track the sales etc. I read all the time about shaving. I don't want this to happen on my program. Is it the processor or the program runner that does the shaving.

Is there any info I can read about the details.

This is very new to me.

I just checked out Ibills website, am I correct in saying they charge 10-15% of sale for their processing fees?

Any way to get lower processors? 2-3%? Merchant accounts.

Spank, depending on what kind of product / service you are looking to use your affiliate program I can help ya either way!

I opened my own non adult affiliate system works well too. If your doing adult rrealted things it will be alittle harder to obtain a normal merchant account however i can make that happen! :-)

You should also check out linkshare.com, cj.com and reporting.net (befree.com)..
I don't know how reliable each of them is and which one suits your needs. I had good experiences with linkshare, they have the best customer support, but I was fucked over by two of their merchants for two checks, both between $900-1000..
