I'm afraid my current dedi server isn't working out very well and I am not sure why, but all I know is that the issues arent being worked out.

What I have:

1.5GHz Atom processor
500GB SATA HD
15mbps bandwidth
15 IP addresses
4GB RAM

Price: $72/mo

What I need:
something similar! needs to be AS STRONG, or stronger, able to handle high mysql usage, and traffic in the area of 4k uniques/day 40k pageviews per day.

IP addresses can be as few as 5 dedicated.
Shell access is a plus
Adult content allowed - a must.
bandwidth needs to allow for up to 15mbps

Price: needs to stay around the same PLEASE

I think it's a VPS you're on at the moment. I don't think you need a dedi to accommodate 40k impressions a day. VPS should be able to handle that. Ones in your price range should be plentiful.

Fixed. They have centos [I use FBSD] with a control panel and excellent support though so I don't see why you would need it managed unless you don't even install and upgrade your own scripts.

I use these guys. For $89 they have something you are looking for. It has 2 Gigs of RAM, but you don't need 4 gigs. The reason you think you do is they are probably running you on a VPS with PHP running in suPHP which keeps everyone on their own part of the server, but seriously raises the need for RAM.

I am very confident that on a Cyberwurx server you will see a very low server load with your traffic and that 2 gigs is plenty. If you ask for 4 gigs they might throw in 1 or 2 for free. Most people don't realize hosting prices are negotiable.

Why Cyberwurx? 24/7/365 support. They are there all day and all night. For me customer service is very important. I code most of my own stuff and I am always breaking things. It is nice to have someone there to save my butt in minutes!

They also don't make you feel like you are bothering them. They are always courteous.

It's an atom server though, it's priced about right imho for unmanaged. Good deal for managed servers.

If you ARE looking for unmanaged/self-managed servers, hit up secured servers. Dual core machine is better than your atom, for roughly the same price. If you use the link in my sig you can get a free upgrade from 250 to 500gig hdd.

If you're looking for managed hosting, check out Amerinoc or CertifiedHosting. For around $99 a month you can get a much better machine. Once again, coupons in sig

For what you described, 4K unique shouldn't "buffer" you audiences viewing pleasure.

Check out dedico, they will hook u up. You will be spending what they decide to hook u up with but I'm sure it will be reasonable.

And they have good servers without all the email problems, upload/download problems, and if u know how to handle a server yourself then get a box for 1/3 the cost.
