HELP: Drag and drop image problem saving as .bmp

OK so for years now I can drag and drop images from firefox and they save as .jpg all of a sudden out of no where they started saving large .bmp files!

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

IE had that problem for about a decade (on many sites) and it was related to an IE caching bug. It's mostly fixed in IE now, along with some workarounds in Apache. You may want to check type cache settings and also check a few different sites, especially a very simple, non-PHP, unprotected plain jpg.

Also check bugzilla. Firefox has been very good about addressing problems whenever possible. If you don't find anything already listed, try to file the best, most specific report you can. On a bug I filed, they fixed it in under 24 hours.
