    Divide and Conquer

Notice how the OWS message has now been completely watered down?

Do you see people fighting against Bankers, Wall Street Execs, or Congress?

Nope! The fight now appears to be the protesters vs the cops!

Are the cops benefiting from the loss of their unions and pensions?

Nope! But now, right before our eyes, the OWS movement has changed.

Congratulations BIG BANKS, WALL STREET, CONGRESS, and BIG MEDIA!

Way to continue fucking over the middle class.

    See you in hell!

BTW, I blame the OWS organizers too, for allowing a message to be created FOR THEM instead of BY THEM.

The problem with OWS is they had no message, and just like all other protesters in the past they squared off against the local police. The local police is in fact the 99%, they are way underpaid, and are facing the same problems with the rest of us - lay offs, unemployment, and loosing their houses. Instead, they choose to square off an pick a fight with the local police department in Davis, California.

Stop camping out like homeless people, put on your big boy pants, come up with a message, and then protest Congress in Washington DC. All protests lead to Washington DC - that's where the decisions are made.

I mostly agree with you, but I don't think the protesters are out to specifically "square off against the police" - and as far as a message goes - the OWS crowd does have a message. In fact they have plenty of messages. Problem is, they never clarify them for easy digestion. They also don't have any specific leaders, and they aren't harnessing a political angle, like the Tea Party did, so NO ONE is taking them seriously right now.

Ask the average shmoe on the street if they believe our politicians are bought and paid for, and the vast majority will say yes. Same with tons of the OWS movement's complaints, from a lack of serious banking regulations, to crony capitalism, to insane tuition fees, etc.

Problem is, the OWS movement is not well organized, and is full of kids who will never be taken seriously. Even if their hearts are in the right place, they just aren't pulling it off.

The politicians are scared to embrace them, because the OWS movement will ultimately pull them into the mud for doing so. Fox spends all day trying to tie Obama to the movement, like he's part of it. You know, that Communist Marxist movement that Obama loves so much, etc.

I don't think the OWS movement is dead in the water yet, but they are definitely overpowered by the few who do not wish to relinquish any power.
