    The Final

    Barbarians 8
    Golden Bulls 7

The Uruguayan American Football final was played last Saturday, with Barbarians beating Golden Bulls in a low-scoring dramatic affair.

    Quick Recap

Weird Golden Bulls touchdown by their biggest player. Tacklers bounce off him like ping pong balls:

    Extra point: Good

Golden Bulls QB throws a costly interception that is returned for a 25 yard Touchdown:

    Extra point: No Good

With less than 2 minutes left, Golden Bulls tries to punt out of their own endzone and gets the kicked blocked for a Barbarians Safety

    Final whistle.

In Uruguay they play with NCAA rules. The teams in the LUFA are all from Uruguay. But there is a national team that plays against national teams from other countries in South America, where they have their own leagues.

Here is a highlight from a Uruguay vs Argentina game:

That's great, i didn't realize there was any interest in U.S. style football in south america.
I hope it catches on big all over the continent.

In Argentina, there's the American Football Argentina (FAA) league. American football has been spreading internationally for quite some time.

According to USA Football’s official site, American football first became international in 1896 in Canada, then 1936 in Japan, followed by Europe in 1976. Argentina got in on the action in 2007 along with football organisations from the US, Canada, Panama, Uruguay, Mexico and Guatemala, it became part of the new Pan-American Federation of American Football (PAFAF).
