    Comodo SSL Certificates

    Hey guys,

I got a eCommerce site that needs SSL. Does anyone have experience with the PositiveSSL Name Cheap offers for $8.95 a year? Do you foresee any issues?

    Thanks in advance.

You may need to install the Comodo chain certificate for best browser acceptance. Once.it's set up, it's just as good as any other cert since a cert is basically just a number. This is chain or CA certificate is commonly required for browsers to trust the cheap certs. Be sure to use the new one they switched to in June 2011.

Interesting. I need to install this on my web-server it seems and I'm good to go? I'm confused about what the chain certificate is about...

              oh shoot

If you purchased a third party SSL, you will need to submit a ticket to Billing (Category: Billing) through my.volusion.com and request a CSR (Certificate Signing Request). There will be a set of information that you will need to fill out and return to Billing so Volusion can provide you the CSR certificate necessary to install your 3rd party SSL. There will also be a fee of $99 to install the certificate to your stores' server. Please include your understanding of this fee in your ticket to speed processing time.
There is no access to install a certificate yourself.

Yea they do, it's BS. They force you into getting their cert. If I was getting a two to three year cert, it wouldn't be so bad...
