    basic network problems

    yeah i just put in a switch now on the other machine it say i have a conflict with ip address anyone know how to reslove this?

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.2
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

          How are they setup to obtain the IP?? If you have them set change one...

          Reboot both machines if you are using DHCP or do a ipconfig or winipcfg and release/renew

          Most likely one of those will fix it

                          basically im having problems getting the other machine connected

                          it worked fine previously when i just had a basic network with a router and switch now it stuffed

                            how bout giving the basic structure of your gay ass network? do you have a router? a server? is it running dhcp? or did you just buy a switch like a dumbass and try to hook it up to 2 computers plugged directly into your dsl...
