WP Gurus, Need a theme and Plugins?

I am looking to do a local mainstream rating site, it would have tons of categories, like clubs, stores o different types, pizza shops etc. I need people to be able to continously be able to generate and vote on a top 10 list of each category. Any ideas on themes and plugins that would work for this? Or maybe not even use wp and get a script?

I use WP Review Site for a couple sites similar that. Not sure about the different categories though. I haven't upgraded the software since I bought it so not sure what new features there may be.

I saw that doing some searching, might do some of what I want, but I think I might need to do something custom with a few plugins, i plan to have like tons of categories and a constant top 10 list for each that would just be like:

        1. pizza shop 1

        2. pizza shop 2

        etc

then maybe comments under the list and all of it needs to integrate with facebook and its essential its 100% mobile compatibe, since people in the NE don't go online at all really on computers unless they are webmasters lol just goto any chat or whatever everyone is from europe or florida, cali or the midwest or canada, never from philly nyc etc ever lol, but I know people go online now by phone so it has to be better on a phone than on the regular web if anything. This is going to be a pain in the ass the more i think of it lol, it better pay off

The only upside i found so far is its pretty cheap to print stickers to put in tons of store windows to get real organic traffic lol, so I am sure I can get tons of "vote for us @ Phi""y10.)m" stickers in shitloads of windows

wouldnt be too hard to do with a post ratings plugin combined with some custom queries for top lists

I have never seen a review site on WP that was done right.

They all have failed to list the posts / reviews in order or highest to lowest rating.

If this has changed I would love to see an example

That paid wpreview plugin says that it does that.

I'll go ahead and recommend these guys: http://www.dev4press.com/

While we don't use the theme they have, their plugins are top notch (and free!).

While it's hardly complete.. here's an example of their review plugin (gd star rating): http://reviews.totalasianporn.com

                        edit: here's their review/rating plugin: http://www.gdstarrating.com/

Flex Squeeze has WYSIWYG editor one click review boxes, you can customize them on the fly. You can also create sales pages, a clean themed blog, your site can be made to look like anything you want, it's basically a framework and theme in one. Several hundred configurable options and millions of possibilities from those combinations.

You can make a site look anything you like with it, it's so flexible. I have an unlimited license and use it on hundreds of mainstream sites, I even use it for some porn blogs.

Of course, I edit everything in Mars Edit using html and inserting shortcodes. I never use the dashboard for anything.
