You don't really need a plugin to create the index like that. You can code a WordPress site to bring up a thumbnail for the post. I do it with my theme, see the sig.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a plug-in. One of the configurations in the General Settings under "Reading" gives the choice of a static page or latest posts, or maybe they selected "summary" and just used some custom coding to display the "latest posts" in that form.

Either way it's a cool layout and display.

Lie other people said, it's made on WP, and it's extremely simple and easy to code if you know how. The theme itself lacks even the most basic functions, but for that price, guess it's OK
