Five steps to saving the US economy:

1) Bring all the troops home from everywhere in the world
(the world hates us, so fuck you all)

2) Secure the borders with the part of the troops we bring home
(if you cross the border, we will blow your head off)

3) What troops are not being used to secure the borders, will be used to round up
all of the illegal aliens in the country and get them the hell out of here

(between 2 and 3 we should not have to reduce our military at all so no added unemployment)

4) End unemployment benefits and make the people that are collecting unemployment work in the jobs the illegal aliens were working in to earn the money - hell, there will be enough left over to subsidize the company's that hire them so you can make a decent living at these jobs
(this will increase tax revenues as well so this will be an added bonus)

5) Stop sending billions in Aid to countries around the world
(again, you hate us so much - fuck off and die)

We will be debt free in 15 years!!!!!!

they could balance the budget this year by just making hard choices. raise the eligibility age for medicare/social security, lower the COLA, means test social security, finish off the last 3 wars, raise some taxes.

You cant have rich without the poor. Our richness comes from our power in forcing other nations being poor, this directly conflicts with #1.. admitting defeat loses that power.. while i completely agree with #1 it won't happen.

#2&#3 is just silly.. stopping illegals makes us more broke

#4 is also silly, we don't need anarchy, remember the " give a man a fish feed him for a day , teach him to fish feed him for life" , we have already been giving these guys fish , if we take it away without teaching them to fish they will just steal our fish and break our fishing rods

No! Everyone gets the option to pay into "unemployment insurance." You can out what you put in, plus extra to cover you for X amount of time, should you lose your job. How long and how much you are covered, is based on what insurance plan you paid in on. That's it. When the money runs out, you are ass out. Make it a form of insurance. You choose if you want it or not.

Illegals in the USA = ~15 million (probably way more but these are the workers)

Too many people in this country just hang around for their free ride. Hell, my brother who is perfectly able to get a job is sitting around on unemployment because working at McDonald's or manual labor is so far below him (and he wouldn't be able to party as much).

I have news for you, if the free ride ended and you were starving, McDonald's would look pretty sweet vs. eating rotting food out of trash cans.

I guess you could throw in the welfare "bums" for that matter. And by bums, I mean those that could work but choose not to. Of course there are those that simply cannot work due to disability or illness and of course I believe these people should get the free ride. But not the worthless pieces of shit that can work but don't.

We are a country of fucking cry babies - the "me" generation and it is only going to get worse. Sure the banks and big business suck for the most part but they are doing their job = making money! You mean to tell me if you were the CEO of AIG making $500 million a year you would do anything different - give me a break!
