    dedicated vs shared.....

Is it better to have one dedicated and everything on that or 1-5 shared spread across different hosts? Taking both cost and seo into consideration...

I like a dedicated server for my important projects, small virtual accounts to spread out feeders.

In my experience, I've seen no difference in ranking for keywords between a shared and dedicated IP.

Other than that, your question is a little vague.

How much bandwidth are you currently consuming?

Large databases? Any CMS, forum, tube scripts and if so, the size of them?

Streaming videos? If so, what size and roughly how many, (not exactly how many, but 50, 60 or 10,000)?

Are you a program and/or paysite owner?

Depending on your situation we can properly assess which solution would be best suited for you.

Agreed. I do the same for my own stuff. Always have.

Recently I moved a couple of sites from a virtual host to my dedicated and traffic has picked up significantly. I put them on seperate IPs and seperate user accounts amd they're not heavily interlinked with the other sites - so its working out fine so far.

The dedi is more stable, more reliable, and faster.

            Your mileage may vary...
