this is just fucking annoying... several times lately, have I experiences that messages didnt reach the recipient, or that some icq'ed me, and I didnt got the messages.... Anybody knows why?

It is happening ALL the time. ICQ is getting worse and worse. I also doubt the problem is related directly to ICQ client. I think this problem is related to their network (sending messages thru server, storing messages on their server and forwarding them etc.). I had same problems on trilian. So that is not the best solution neither. What i've noticed is: This problem will appear almost 100% until webmasters are on eachother contact list (even with all spam protections disabled). But it will ALSO appear when clients are on each others contact list, so there is not much you can do about it.Comment

I get/send (almost) all of my online messages without problems, but messages sent to users in offline/away modes are really tricky, and I guess that about a half of them doesn't get through.
For important stuff I still prefer email, more reliable and more organized than icq (because people actually concentrate for a min about what they're going to write
)
