Business New to high-risk payment processing

    Hi,

I built an AI porn generator app, and I'm looking for a high-risk payment processor(PP). I'm very new to this payment processing stuff, but from reading some forum posts it seems quite a pain in the ass - getting approved, high fees, delayed payouts, reserves...

I would really appreciate some help from someone who has experience with high-risk payment processors. Some tips and thinks I should look out for when choosing the right PP.

I have recently contacted one of the payment processors and they told me they require a 50K deposit up front. I find this absolutely ridiculous. Is this common practice with all PP? If so, how do all smaller companies get started in the adult space?

I did some research on my competitors (30+ sites) to see what PP they are using. The most common are:
    - trustpay.eu
    - emerchantpay.net
    - segpay.com
    - rocketgate.com

Does anyone have experience with any of the above-mentioned?

I'm a web dev, not a site operator, but my experience with RocketGate, Epoch, CCBill, and PrimeOrange has been very straight forward. All of them have really decent development support and they answer questions pretty quickly.

I've implemented all of their platforms in a variety of ways. I think RocketGate is probably the easiest to use, but that has a lot to do with their SDK, which is freely available on Github. It's pretty comprehensive and they can provide direct solutions if you need to use it outside of the ways the tests are written.

From a business perspective, my clients haven't had anything negative to say about these four. Merchant accounts are difficult to setup and costly, but high risk banking is generally going to be annoying no matter who you go with.

AI content might cause some conflicts with MasterCard or Visa, but that wouldn't be the processor's fault.

I've heard about RocketGate, Epoch, CCBill but I haven't reached out to them yet. Do you perhaps know if they all require a big deposit upfront?

You mentioned that all merchant accounts are difficult to setup and costly. Can you share what are the main issues when setting up merchant account and why is it costly? (I'm very new to this)

Hi, new here but not new in high risk payment processing. I've had a few AI merchants come to me looking for domestic merchant accounts. Unfortunately no one is really boarding AI porn domestically other than CCBill. Your alternative would be an openminded payfac.
