Refresher course for an old timer

Hi All, it's been many years since I did any online promotions. Help me get back on track, if you would.

What programs do you all use these days and what methodologies do you use? In my day, I started out hand coding HTML, then moved onto Photoshop/Dreamweaver and was using a simple FTP to upload it all. Wordpress was gaining ground and CSS was taking over. That was about the last time I did any internet work.

What traffic sources do you pull from? I'm looking to sell halloween (as my day job is an FX artist for mainstream tv and film) Back in the day, we used free gallery banner ads. Not sure how you attract people without showing them nudies lol.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Do your ad pages look like mainstream click bait sites where the ads are surrounded by exit ads? Or are they more simple with no exits?

But more importantly what programs do you use to mange your accounts? And what are you using to build the ad pages?
