Joining affiliate or attaching to a program?

Hi All. I'm developing a small gay member site. Do you all recommend launching my site with an affiliate from the start or attaching my site to a program that allows my members to get access to other sites?

Or should I launch my small member site first and reevaluate affiliates or gay programs later?

No, I don't have a lot of traffic. No members yet because the site hasn't launched yet. It will be a members pay site.
