Game site advice needed

hey,
a friend who is proffesional game reviewer for few big game portals, opened site (with my advice) with reviews of indie games, it's a small site hardly to call it side project, it's more like a hobby.

site is rough, i've bought domain for my friend as a bday gift, installed WP, added random theme and told he "now go write smth, always pay to have own site" and so it's started..

site opened in january 2014 is getting around 600 uniques daily now, traffic is from google and from signature links from reviews on big game portals.

he is reviewing small indie games, adding screenshots, gameplay movies, trailers and writing everything by hand.

we decided it's not a bad time to monetize it a bit. my friend wanna sell 1-5 spots for monhly or annual banners now the question is where to look for buyers, how much charge for it?

any advice?

if you guys can recommend soem better theme (ye i know, most would be better :D) i would appreciate. banner we would like to sell would be located on the sidebar.

We can get it rolling and find a way to be transparent with the ad revenue too.

My brother and I are working on a fantasy sports site and for the banners we plan to put one of our own ads up and rotate the spaces so that each ad gets a fair share of views.

I agree here. Every time I'm on a gaming site, I hate reading the reviews. Video reviews on Gamespot & IGN were awesome!

right now he got 6y old machine with broken video card so he can't really stream much, but that's not bad idea. i'll tell him about it. he plans to buy decent vid card for $200 in near future, should be able then to do some streaming.

Long term, a .INFO domain may not be the best bet.

If the site ends up making some money and you feel like rebranding, talk to me. One option I already own would be this one:
