The reason why i do so well with them is because i create my own shit anyway. I don't care if they have the same old banners etc.. The $$$$ checks make up for the little extra time I have to spend to make my own stuff, which i feel makes more money anway since I think I have a pretty good feel for each of my traffic streams.
In all honesty, who makes the banners for *most* affiliate companies, designers paid for by the affiliate site owners. How many deigners do you know that make a lot of sales ? How many site owners do you know that are great at converting traffic. ( i am sure there are some btw) but the point is who do you think knows the best? the affiliate who is on the front line everyday and who is the one actually getting the sales.
