This has nothing to do with Hip Hop, Rock, or Alternative music ... it is an economic issue above all else!
I know for a fact D-Money paid Snoop close to 100k to appear at the Players Ball, and that was an incredible show!!!
He hasn't put a DIME in his pocket from ANY Players Ball to date! Every Sponsor $$$ goes into the venue and the acts!
The fact is, he wants to throw a party that webmasters will enjoy, and it seems like the economic enviornment is not allowing him to spend $$$ on artists like he did with Snoop!
Give credit where credit is due ... the man is just trying to continue with what has been a HALLMARK event at Internext for many years!

Naughty by Nature will give an incredible show! They are actually waaaay more entertaining than 50 Cent.
Ice Cube is another that has a show that's just out of control. When a artist has over 20 hits like he does the show is always pretty good. Public Enemy is another one. I'm not sure if Flav is out of jail though.
NERD might do it for less than anyone else. They don't know to charge tons of money for shows like this yet so you guys might want to call Startrak and ask.I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

I just want to say you're doing a good thing for the industry. I was in the online casino biz for 4 years, lived in the Caribbean for 2. So much money around and being spent. Then after a while it goes dry and you find out who's really down with the underground.I've been in this biz for 6 months and I have noticed the tailspin. We need to all stick together and reap the rewards of this great industry. Just like me in the online casino biz we thought we would last forever. Great times I had but the I am so happy i didn't keep(owned) anything. feds are going to all sites and portals and asking sales records dating back to 1997 on all online casinos tads hey had up on the site. Couple of my homies are fucked. They will be living in the caribbean now for life.

I can throw a dope party off of a shoe string budget or big budget, our crowd makes it the right vibe. People are ready to party hard at the Players Ball. I realized after having Snoop Dogg perform, haters will never be happy. People actually tried to say it sucked. Anons mostly. So when people say washed up talent about certain performers in the past, present or future, I realize some people will hate no matter who you get. If I did rock, I'd have way more people telling me to book rap. At some point you have to just know from good live shows and what would be the most fun. I have a few tricks up my sleeve still. The thing that I find the coolest, is when people at the shows come up to me and thank me for doing these parties. I can't tell you how many times I hear, "best party I've ever been to" or "best concert I've ever seen". It's nice to know that thousands of webmasters have been totally stoked out through the years of throwing these.
So once again, the big thanks in my book goes to the ones funding it, the sponsors. Epassporte helped me secure this years, I almost wasn't even able to pull it off without their early commitment. Pussycash stepped up right away as well. More are in the works, and those are some pimp ass players that deserve to have webmasters use their services.Still Ballin'Comment

I am surprised no one knows who Lil John and eastside boys are.
but basically you don't have to know who they are if you want the party started. They had just performed a halftime show during a falcons game and had the whole stadium getting crazy. They also performed the last song on the source award and it got wild also

I'm looking to please the masses, so since Naughty By Nature is locked in, now I can balance the force and get a great performer that fits the budget. Usually, hop hop / rap is simpler and easier. Oakenfold is coming from the UK, makes it harder to book.
He was getting $20k per show, and probably gets more. I put in an offer at $10k, if he's in the States and wants to party, we can get him. But unlikely. I am trying though.
We can do rave type DJ's, as long as we have the meat of the show covered, like a good danceable group. The rest is gravy.
I'm stereo typed as only hip hop, but I try for the best available artist everytime.
I can get members of Korn to host the event as well, but to perform, they'd be over $100k, easy. I've been trying for Lenny Kravitz too. All kinds of music, not just rap, or peeps without instruments.
