    there are a few newberry comics actually one on newberry street, and then one in harvard square that are 'in boston' - yah i live pretty much in the heart of it all - only it's been 2 degrees lately *literally last night it was 0 degrees!!!!* so i wear about 3 sweaters in the house, cant turn on the heat because dont have $$ for the electric bill *wwwoooo fun!!*

    right now i have until feb 15th to come up with it all so we're holding a drive and shit if i dont come up with it i have to pack my shit and move home which is NOT something i want at allllllllll to do - home sux but it's frelling cheap as all hell

    I lived in the Y there for around a month one winter, though, and it was pretty cheap and fairly well-heated and it was walking distance from the street with Newberry Comics and all that. What is the name of that street and why can't I think of it right now?

        Amelia, let me do a little math just to make sure I understand it all correctly ok ? You don't offer trials from what I see, so you pay per active member. Lets say I send you 10 members and they stay for just 1 month. I get $10 per member, and you get the rest on a $19.95 membership.

        If 5 of them stay for 2 more months, do you keep 100% of all the rebills ? This is what I meant by a per-signup program.

        Do you share the rebills with the webmaster sending traffic, or I'd get another $50 since my 5 members stayed an additional month. That would be a partnership program.

        I personally would be more inclined to push the sites if it were a partnership program OR if the initial payout was higher.

                                        i go into the harvard newberry every couple weeks, although there's a better comics store around the corner + a couple of record basements. no exaggeration about the temperature, i live 4 miles north of there, and it's cold with the heat on.

                                        cloei, that sucks. don't know the full story, but i'm sorry you're in this situation. i've read a lot of ian's posts. all the evidence i've seen suggests that he's an exceptionally honest person. i hope that both of you are taken care of. nakkidnerds is a cool site and gets respect all over.

                                        how long have you known cyberpunk? he sounds like a disaster even by porn standards.

                                                                I just called CCBill. They other day, they said they were pretty sure they did not get a fax. I just called Accounting to confirm, they dug around, and they have gotten no faxes on my account.

                                                                                            As for cyberpunk, my friend and partner of 5 years, I will say he's not the swiftest at getting back to people, but he's always been a good friend and trusted partner. Sure, his typing is only slightly more attrocious than my own and he's a bit more tempermental than me. I don't always supports his actions or methods, but goddamnit, I'll always stand behind him. In this business of fleeting friendships and partnerships gone sour, I'll always have his back and he'll have mine. If anyone doesn't want to do business after all of this, all I can do is move on, not worry about it and concentrate on those who continue to do business with us.

I would love to just get on with things, and start running my sites again-- but I am still waiting on the fax that cyberpunk claims he has already sent. Until then, I can't really get fully back to work.

                                                                                                        As for the offer. I think it was kindof insulting, but I am also willing to consider it.                                                                                                                             I didn't know these guys well, but never imagined we would be so poorly matched. I have certainly learned to raise the bar on how much I can trust someone before I work with them, though.

                                                                                                                            I don't know what is up with getting my sites back. He claims he is working to get it done, but the proof is sparse. As far as I am concerned, the most important thing is getting my sites running again. After that, I can look into their offer. But yeah, it was pretty insulting.

If I get my ccbill account back, it shouldn't be too long until the program is working (and the sites converting) properly again. From there, I will go back to adding features and promo materials to the program, as well.

Being in retail management, I know I get irriated when I shop ...


                                                                                                                                                            We hired a designer to make 1000 plus sq ft house addition back in October and it took him until last week to finish the plans and it was only around 52 hours billed and maybe 8 more with the 2nd billing...Most of the work was cut and paste in auto cad..

                                                                                                                                                            theking filed for a business license in OCT in a smaller town and just received it this week...

                                                                                                                                                            I am not pointing fingers but it is EVERYWHERE...

                                                                                                                                                            I will step off the bitch soap box... Customer service and quality of medical care are my two pet peeves...

                                                                                                                                                                                        I like Dick's stuff okay and I think it adapts to film really well, but William Gibson is definitely the one who moves me the most. I like Gibson's writing so much that, when I met him, I couldn't talk to him at first. I just started yakking with his publicist who was very cool and who I knew already. So Gibson is looking at me like what the hell. Finally, my best friend turns to him and says, "really, you are her favorite author." That sorta broke the ice.

                                                                                                                                                                                        I really like Jay McInerney and Jim Thompson too, but I suppose they are less appropriate for a cyberpunk thread.
