The reason Gothweb has automatic credibility to his name with this story is NO ONE would transfer their ownership and hosting, etc. without being sure they would not be screwed, and especially to not have at minimum, the current cash flow of the site guaranteed. For me currently, that is enough to believe Gothweb. And he also never brought this public, he wanted attention from you and communication to start. He never started specifics, nor was bashing you or your program, never. He just wants things to be how they should be.

You have to try to see Gothweb's point of view. Be in his shoes. How would you react? And what response from him would you want? ... What response do you think he would like from you? Did you tell him privately that you sent CCbill an email, and maybe CC'd it to him, so he could see it? Even simple reassurances are nice, and I'm sure you'll agree.
I also don't think Gothweb ever called you a liar. Him exaggerating the $500 to $3000 was a bit unfair (and I'm sure, and I'm sure you agree, that it was only done to draw attention to the matter). Maybe he also did it to draw you to the board, so he could finally know you were listening. I don't think he did it with any mal-intent.
I also don't think your reaction has been the best. I know this is GFY board, and I'm sure it has been an irritation, for both you and Gothweb, but I think you could have been simple and straight to the point, and less immature, and more business-like.
If something doesn't go well, you should make the best of it - otherwise it will piss you right off, and any negative reaction you have will continue to lead to more negative feelings you have.
I believe Gothweb will wait for CCbill now, and possibly call CCbill to see how things are going, and once things are settled he will thank you.

For the record, I didn't inflate $500 to $3000. I feel that our agreement means he owed me at least $3000.
The $500 is the sum he has actually paid me. The associated mis-statement on my part was saying I have seen "no" money, when I have in fact seen $500 for the last three months.
Just wanted to clear that up. We disagree on the numbers, but not in the way you explain in your post.
