    Events R18.com closing

    Dear Affiliates

    After 9 years of helping people discover and share great contents,

    R18.com will stop selling content from October 24, 2022. From this date, users will have access to their already purchased content only.

    A few months later, from January 31, 2023 the site will be completely closed and accessing purchased content will not be possible.

    For this reason, the affiliate program will be closing soon also.

    Please update your Payment method within NATS at the link below so the remaining funds (if any) can be paid accordingly.

                              So,all those " purchasers" who bought will be considered "renters" (as of January 31) whose rental period has expired? Or is there some way they can keep ( download) their PURCHASED content prior to Jan. 31?

                                  All content access ends on that day. It's inexcusable given their size and the fact their parent company is very much in business and in the black. We have had some of our users spend 5 figures USD there over the years and this is the thank-you they get for wanting to support the industry.

                                      Its over for them. I can't blame them considering the laws and rules passed recently. Thieves and corrupted AV companies have brought this down on the industry. Not DMM.

                                      Imagine if your publication rights as an av company went from lifetime to 5 years to potentially 1-2 years. This started in 2018. And not complying with takedown requests would cause an immediate termination for your company across multiple platforms in Japan. Imagine having to manage all that to be in compliance.

                                      Imagaine shooting content and then you have to wait 4 months to see if you can release it.

                                      The government inacted a law this April in order to break Av companies down and protect young girls. And it appears to be working. DMM will continue to thrive within Japan for the time being. And to be honest that's all many AV companies have ever really cared about.

                                                  R18 closing has nothing to do with the new law which is increasingly looking like something of lame duck legislation.
