A few years ago we needed to make a website for one of our dental clinics, and one of workers did it on Drupal so that my wife could update text herself... I could barely figure out how to do it let alone her. I redid the whole thing as simple header/middle/footer php includes and called it a day. If I was gonna have to make any edits anyways I may as well do it in a way that's quick and easy for me.

i feel that way about all these new frameworks too. i write vanilla js and jquery. i dont need to run 40 packages to refresh the page
K.I.S.S is a bad word now. i insulted a corporate guy in a chat by saying it. 'simple' reduces the workforce.
