    We are still in lockdown, everyone is missing their mortgage payments.

    So, 123 million homeowners DECIDED NOT TO PAY THEIR MORTGAGE anymore and NOT LEAVE THEIR HOMES?

    police gona arrest all 123 million home owners and put them in jail?

      It seems nobody wants to look ahead more than a month at a time. We are so focused on the virus that we can't (don't want to really) see anything else. Even though the bus might be heading for a cliff.

                  That's not how it works. The banks will work with you and take a reduced payment plan to cover any arrears until you are in a position to start making payments again.

                          Traditionally what a bank does is take the interest of that monthly payment and tack it on to the principal owed.

                          So it's NOT relief at all. It's just adding to your debt.

                              Yeah, actually a good point. It will of course never happen, as the majority of people are hardwired to pay their debts, but if somehow you could get everyone together, get them ALL to agree and stand firm, the world would actually change.

                                                  Many Governors are advocating foreclosure relief as well as mortgage relief. So you have no money, cannot pay your mortgage, bank forecloses - and they do not kick you out. Not until this is all over anyway. But who knows what kind of shit storm awaits people in that position when this is "over"? I shudder to think.
