    Weed Killer In Your Food

No, not marijuana killer lol! I read this before but never thought to copy it here. Scary and dangerous items are in our food and it’s legal.

I hate to tell you this.
But there is weed killer in your dinner.
Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weed killer, has found its way into the majority of our food.
It’s been found in processed foods like Cheerios, Ritz Crackers, and Oreos.
And it’s been found in honey, meat, drinking water, breast milk, infant formula, chips, cookies… the list goes on.
Even though the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer deemed glyphosate probably carcinogenic to humans, Roundup has NOT been banned.
Millions of people are being slowly poisoned by a chemical that does not belong in our food.
The chemical companies work behind the scenes to cover up its dangers… in cahoots with the EPA… ghostwriting news stories… setting up front groups… hiring trolls on social media… and enlisting scientists to further their agenda.”

Someday I’ll research the amounts that are deemed safe and the amounts that are in our food items.

For sure, we're aware. It's in some wheat products including common cereals. That's why we try to get organic products.

Organic companies regularly sue Roundup maker because it catches wind currents and ends up in their fields.

Yes, more people need to know about this, if they realized how much was in the food they wouldn't be eating it.

If you can't afford everything to be organic, then think carefully about how much weedkiller a specific item will have absorbed, like for example strawberries and raspberries, they absorb it easily, whereas a banana is fine as any weedkiller will be in the skin. Always wash fruit/veg that you buy.

Avoid corn flakes and other cereals, unless organic. There is one good make of cereal to look out for, Nature's Path, their soil has never grown crops using weedkiller, so everything is top notch as it should be.

              Nature's Path https://www.naturespath.com/en-gb/

On another note, avoid tap water (unless you have good filter or distiller), it's got chlorine, while it does have to be there it's not good for you, only use it for washing. Look specifically for 'mineral water', as that means it is untouched, nothing added. Some mineral waters are better than others, look into if there is farming on the land above the water, and see if you can find out how long it gets filtered for (through rocks). I'd give a strong recommendation for Volvic, and as an added bonus it's known for removing aluminum from the body, thereby lowering the risk of Alzheimer's.

Organic food is what I used to buy when available. A local huge farm supplies a large part of the USA with organic and unusual produce. You can go to their store and buy anything you need but for meat. They had delivered daily an organic whole wheat bread from Cape Cod. I’d stock up my freezer in the winter.

The Gourmet Outlet was just sold. Hopefully nothing will change. I’ve known the owner and family since they had a pushcart selling fruits and veggies on the street.

A huge pet peeve of mine is people here don’t wash fruit before eating it. Grape pickers don’t have bathrooms in the field nor do tomato and cucumber workers. Bugs and dirty rain, chemical vapors and worse end up on our produce.

Wrong. Sprayed pesticide/insecticide does not only land on the fruit/vegetable. Most of the chemicals land on the ground, where the chemicals are later absorbed by the plant/tree's roots into the fruit/vegetable.

I try and eat from local farmers markets and farms to avoid as much poison as possible. I'm pretty luck to live in Tennessee where there are a lot of local farms. It's one of the reasons I moved here when I decided to start a family.

I think the issue is respiratory with the weed killer glyphosate might be like eating tobacco might not be good for inner health but may not cause lungs to fail first.
