FINALLY... !! I agree with you 100%.
(And I'll just say it. Trump's wall is nothing but a vanity project for him. He thinks if built it'll be up there forever with his fucking name in ugly neon lights. )
Anyway - you just gave me an idea - a sick idea, but an idea. If people really want a wall, and we can be all 21st century about this, why not put some science behind this? Why not look for faces to build an "electronic wall"? An E-Wall?
Think about this a second. We are all in porn, and porn has driven lots of technological advances in the last 30 years. All of us porn people have been talking about this stupid idea since Trump so why not expand on it a little?
An E-Wall could be:
- Electronic, or virtual, not physical. Instead, a "wall" of sensors placed every 1000 feet or so apart or whatever is required for it to work.
- Sensors detect those who cross or approach the border.
- Drones can be dispatched to the area to take pictures, follow people, help people by providing information, dropping food and water, alerting first responders to anyone who needs medical assistance, etc.
- Take pictures of the crossers and "tag" or track them. Pictures taken, uploaded to a DB
- Facial recognition, etc etc.
- Those seeking sanctuary or fleeing their own countries could "register" on the spot with drones. Finger prints, facial recognition, phones if they have them, etc.
- SOLAR POWERED. Fuck you in the ass, oil.
Think about what this does. It
- Puts xenophobes at ease. If the system is tracking illegal aliens and knows where they are, xenophobes can sign up for a "Danger Scared Alert (sponsored by Fox News)" on their phones.
- Makes it safer for border crossers. No worry about vigilante rednecks shooting them.
- Creates high tech jobs
- Improves drone technology, camera tech, tracking tech.
- Helps people LEGALLY get into the US and catches the bad guys.
- Helps parents find children who may have been lost during the crossing thanks to electronic tagging.
- Saves a shitload of money
- Actually helps everyone
- Saves the environment
- Not nearly as ugly. (A little ugly, but not AS ugly as a fucking steel concrete Trump wall).
Of course I've left out alot of details but you get the idea.
