Black Lives Matter, but some more than others?

Within a 24-hour window, two Blacks were killed.

One was in St.Louis, killed by police officers after he (allegedly) pointed a gun at them.

Protesters gather after St Louis police kill man who allegedly pointed gun at officer during chase - 9news.com.au

The second was in Ferguson, Mo - YES THAT SAME FERGUSON - where a 9-year old girl was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. She was in her bedroom when she was killed. Suspects are still at large, but I'm guessing it wasn't the police.

Instant protests sprung up in St. Louis.

Crickets (and not moon crickets) in Ferguson.

When police kill criminals it's very bad. When someone kills an innocent child it's perfectly acceptable.

Earlier today I watched a video where a police officer (in Ohio?) spent ten minutes try to save a truck driver who went off the road, doing CPR while yelling "don't die on me" while waiting for the medics. Police officers are heroes.

      All lives matter.

The automobile the shooter was driving was invented by a white man (henry ford). Clearly whities fault for creating technology. BLACK LIVES MATTER

Really bothers me when little kids get killed and nobody seems to give a flying fuck because it doesn't fit the hot topic political agenda at the time.

There are some police that have distinguished themselves by performing a heroic act. I wouldn't go so far to generalize them by saying "police officers are heroes". They are paid (handsomely) and in turn expected to serve.

There are heroes from all walks of life - many of which are not monetarily compensated in exchange for their act of heroism. To me, a hero is someone who is selfless - isn't obligated or unexpectedly puts their life on the line for someone else - or goes above and beyond the call of duty to do something brave or noble.

It really bothers me when you mention this obvious hypocrisy and get labeled "racist" by someone who doesn't want to hear the simple truth... much less, have the balls or courage to face the truth.

If these people really cared about black lives they would protest every time a black person killed another black person.

I would go so far as to generalize them by saying "police officers are heroes". Yeah, there are bad apples. And in some cases, good officers make bad decisions when put on the spot. But they do this every day, and every day they get kicked, spit on, hit, punched, and attacked.

And they are not "handsomely" paid. Not by a long shot.

I work with them everyday. I know what they make. A first class constable makes $78k/yr. Most staff sergeants are on the $100k sunshine list.

Their special duty pay rate is $72/hr.
