Yes! That is the maid. What's really great is the husband's perception vs. the reality.
I think it was the 2nd episode when she is trying to seduce him on the couch and its pretty hot, then suddenly you see the girl watching from the other room and it's the old woman on top of him.
Classic, creepy, very well done.

Agreed. I want way more zombies. I could care less about character development as the world is about to end. But it's AMC so I guess we shouldn't be that surprised that is what they choose to focus on. They should have let Stephen King write the second season (he offered, they said 1 Ep and he said all or nothing).
On a side note, I tried to watch American Horror Story but couldn't get past the first episode. The premise of that kind of a story really frustrates me and it seemed to move too slow. Does it pick up at all?

I personally love "Walking Dead" and just like last season it is building the slow boil. The funniest thing about the "Walking Dead" is how mellow that Mom is who's missing her little girl ("Sophia"). Don't you think she'd be a bit more hysterical about that situation? Instead she's like "Hi everybody.... oh target shooting again today? Awesome. That's great. Oh hey... by the way is there anyone other than this crossbow wielding hick that's remotely interested in finding my kid? Not that I've been counting, but she's been gone for like 5 episodes now? No? Oh OK. I guess I'll cook you all dinner now."
The show will pick up though. As soon as they leave that farm there'll be plenty of zombies to shoot instead of the "one-an-episode" variety. Problem is how much can they do with only one episode left on the calendar until Feb?

I honestly didn't even care to much for the 1st season of The Walking Dead...maybe I'm just burned out on all the zombie movies, shows, books, etc that have been coming out.
I'm really into American Horror Story though and I'm very happy they announced a 2nd season. It's refreshing to see something different. Another show I keep watching is Boardwalk Empire.Comment

I'm still really enjoying it. I do find it a little odd that the people on the farm are so non-chalant about defense and weapons. What if a herd of walkers tramped through there from the road in the middle of the night? It's not like they have fortified walls. But overall I like the show and there are enough zombies to keep me entertained.Comment

yeah i agree with the statement that the farm people are pretty lax on defense. also someone else mentioned it with the mother of sophie so cool with not looking for her. i'm all for character development, it just seems like a lull to me. i'm not saying i need zombies to be entertained, but i just don't feel like it's moving forward. everyone is kinda stagnantComment

I think The Walking Dead is the most overrated horror show ever made, it's boring, the characters are one dimensional and you could not have thought up a more boring plot for a potentially great show.
I want a show where the Survivors are the underdogs, zombies that are fast, strong and angry like in 28 Days Later or REC.
The pilot episode of American Horror Story was really bad, they tried to fit too many scenes into the first episode.
I gave it another chance recently and watched episode 2, I gotta say it was a lot better and I just kept watching the show after that. It's turned into a decent show, plot line moves at a slower pace than the first episode and it has plenty of mystery and suspense.

So I don't understand the show just because I don't like the fact that it focuses on character development as opposed to them fighting the zombies? Trust me, I understand it plenty. Personally, I just don't think their reaction is appropriate to the situation they are in.
If the world was infested with zombies, we'd be killing them (or at least trying), not cowering in the corner worrying about a lost child or being pregnant (being pregnant should actually be a good thing in a shrinking population). The way the characters are acting would be more in line with a viral outbreak where a regular person would have no means to combat the infection (in which case running makes sense). Zombies are real and need to be killed for the world to survive. Why are they not focused on that? They seem to care very little about the preservation of the human race and history proves that this is not in line with how humans react to these situations.
My other issue is that the show is so slow. I watched the most recent ep last night. When that kid goes to the barn, it takes him two minutes to get there. Yes, it's only two minutes but that is 5% of the show.
