It seemed cool and creepy a few months ago when you just got tiny glimpses here and there -- but now it doesn't look scary at all. Although, FX network has built up a lot of credit with me, so I'll give it a chance.

Isn't that the basis of every TV series? Take a central idea, be it person, situation, whatever, and come up with stories, or an ongoing story related to that central idea. That's every show. Not sure why this is any different.

I watched the first episode and just didn't get it. The premise was weird and contrived, the storyline jumped around a bit too much and everything was overdramatic. Do not want.

I love this show. I was actually turned off by the promos that seemed kind of ridiculous and over the top -- and most of that stuff isn't even in the show -- it was just some bullshit for the promo.

The show is more subtle than I thought it would be, although its not that scary. But that's ok, it's pretty good overall.

The only thing I did expect was Hayden to come back as a ghost. I really hate having to wait a week to see the next episode.

I'm still caught off guard by what they air on FX. Wasn't expecting that guy to talk about "sucking cock" last night.

Not sure if I agree with that. Moira mentioned that "men see what they want to see, while women see the soul inside," which is why he sees Moira differently than his wife does. BUT, in last week's episode, they show when Moira gets killed, and she was young at that point. So, her earthly body would still remain young, even if her soul ages. So, he's fucking the soul of an old hag, but the body of the hot chick. Sort of like fucking a vampire.

I fucking LOVE the show, for those who have not seen it yet, think The Shining meets Amityville.

A deeper compare (and some what fought about) The next Twin Peaks, and I'll be the first to say there are MANY 'Lynch' types things in this show.

I did not really think about it like that lol, but from what I've read I don't know if they will go that route, however from what is 'known' via the show websites, it looks like EVERY family that lives there dies / died there, so you deff could be on to something.

It was confirmed that FX has renewed American Horror Story for a 2nd season and also said that it was their greatest new series premiere ever...I love this show, it's so refreshing to have a tv show try something new.
