Even if one doesn't agree, it is always good to keep an open-mind. It's dangerous to assume people are crazy or stupid for having a different political view.
Look at religion, some religions are highly skilled at making followers believe whatever they are told, but it doesn't mean the followers are mad or foolish, especially not if they've been indoctrinated from birth. Indoctrination is of course quite different to education in that the indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned.
Are the truthers indoctrinated for wanting to question what they have been told by the mainstream media? It's the opposite, they are questioning what they have been told. Every so-called "Truther" has heard both sides of the story, whereas not all those who believe the "Official Story" have heard the alternative view.
We should all be encouraged to question and critically examine the assumptions that most make. Some will be right and others wrong, but it's important that we never stop questioning the world around us as if we do we'll be left in a vulnerable situation.
