The big nut is from their acquisition of friendfinder but they also continue to go into debt each month. Pretty sure they have operated at a loss (losing money) every month for the last 5 years.

miss management, a porn mag business that should have been shut down years ago that is losing all kinds of money and will only get worst... even with affiliates, paying high PPS can get you burned, large overhead and and expenses, lawsuits, legal issues... there is a lot more to a company then just affiliate payments.
