As for retiring. I had more than enough to retire to Thailand in 1998. Planned to do it in 2000 when I would of been 50.
Met Eva, fell in love, got married and the rest is history. She's not the kind of girl to sit on a beach for long.
Like getting fans on GFY is an achievement.
Go set your goals higher.

funny how dim-witted people respond to an argument with the original argument. i am not trying to win fans, you are. i don't write 10,000 words a day on gfy, you do.
you are a 60-year old broke geriatric patient. it is sad but its not my problem. trying to insult me won't change your pathetic predicament.
retirement means not having to chase a buck all day. it doesn't matter where you retire, or how many dependents you have to pay for, as long as you can afford to do it. and you cannot.
i dont care what you had nearly 15 years ago. it only matters what you have today (and tomorrow). there's hundreds of thousands of guys near-retirement who lost their entire savings over the last 2-3 years. should they all come to gfy and talk about how cool they were 2 decades ago? will that help them retire? i think not.
if you had enough to retire in Thailand in 1998, you would be out of money now. the baht is different now than it was in 1998 and costs are higher. a lot of the old guys who did retire here last century have had to go home and get jobs because of economic conditions and the baht (and especially the pound). learn about inflation if you ever plan to actually retire.
you think i should retire now since i have half a million in my retirement fund. thats the kind of thinking that would see me broke like you in less than 10 years. i have to cover my wife and kids long after i die. that's nearly 100 years of coverage and will take $2 million+. the fact that you don't know how much it costs to retire shows that you don't know shit about retirement - and you are definitely not retired.
you need that meager income from your sites and stores to pay your bills and feed your wife. at 60+, that's pretty fucking sad. all you do is talk about the past - as if that is going to somehow support you in the future.
reply with more smilies, but the facts are not changing. unfortunately, you will still be slinging the same bullshit here in 5 years, still pretending to be retired. a little humility would go a long way...
