Paul... ugh... come on man, you know better that this. It isn't about people thinking it will wipe porn off the Internet. NOBODY THINKS THAT. It's about people not wanting a board to oversee their businesses and make decisions they MUST obey at the pain of losing their domain and all their traffic if they don't. I mean, you don't understand this by now? And given the "rules" can change from year to year as the masters of .XXX find new ways to squeeze money out of us, the more you invest in one of these domains, the more your lips are attached to their nutsacks and their hands are wrapped around your throat.
