No, they didn't slander you. They were mostly laughing about you more than anything, talking about how you brought them a shitload of affiliates. They were slimy cocks and I felt like I needed a shower after talking to them, but there was some guy there at the booth who said he promoted them because he found a GFY thread bitching about them. *shrug*
And no, they didn't buy ME a drink, at least .. I just went to their booth to be a dick. I went to the show to meet up with the awesome guys from Webair, and to talk to Google about Autoblogger Pro and how it related to Blogger.

If I was making them so much money Stan wouldn't have called me to try to work it out. If i was making them so much money he would be provoking me to do it more. The #1 way to try to get someone to stop doing something is to make them think they are doing more harm then good. If i had a dime for everytime I saw someone try to pull that one, hell if I had a penny for everytime someone actually bought that shit. Ask around to people who are familar with them over the last couple years, they are good at spin control and PR. I wouldn't be surprised if they paid someone to walk around and say yes I signed up because i heard about it from people bitching, etc...
