FYI: Any public disclosure violates Health and Safety Code sections 121025(e) and 120980, both of which impose criminal (a misdemeanor) and civil penalties. The civil penalties are between 5 and 10k, and the defendant is also liable for all actual damages to the person disclosed, including economic, bodily or psychological harm. He is also liable for invasion of privacy, and public disclosure of private facts, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The criminal penalties go up to 25k and a year in jail.
