Well...if you've noticed...thanks to brazzers no companies have had the budgets to do advertising on GFY in a while. People are getting fired from companies. Studios are shutting down production, etc.

Hell Brazzers didn't even bother skinning for their own fucking paysite! They skinned it for selling traffic! lol

This is about Brazzers. GFY had ZERO companies skinning the page lately. They need their income. Brazzers provided it.

I know I don't have that kind of money to throw up here to be cool. And I don't know anybody that is currently making so much bank that they can either.

I haven't seen Ice or Eric ban anyone for voicing their opinion. Gfy didn't create the tube problem, and frankly I haven't seen anyone skin the board in a while, and step up and pay for it. Gfy had to have ad income to keep rolling. The REAL crime is that the industry let it happen to themselves with the delusion that the surfer has some entitlement to keep the content we have in our members areas. They pay a rental fee and keep the content. Its utterly retarded. That and the one upmanship of every program seeing how much content they can give out to the affiliates to spread all over the internet.

Now everyone and their brother give the affiliates free hosting of images, videos, tube exports. Everyone seeing how much content they can throw at the surfer then think that will prompt them to enter their credit card.

Anyone remember when you were lucky to find a pussy pic online without some sort of censoring going on? You had no choice but to sign up to jerk off, or go back to the Sears catalog, or down to the adult bookstore to buy some mags. Conversions will continue to suck while all this free shit is out there, or till the government steps in and fucks over nearly everyone.

I burned out a long time ago. I put up the good fight just to see people laugh, people still do shitty things, the crocks still steal, the idiots who bitch on here and still have drinks and hang at the shows with the people screwing them.

Very few people care about ethics anymore. Especially now with sales being tough for most, it really is a free for all for most. Instead of WASTING my time trying to piss in the wind, I am going to focus on my business and work 20x harder to make less than I use to.

It's just going to get worst. There are so many people in this industry with zero business ethics or sense, that shouldn't be here but are. Some of which got on board at the right time in the mid 90's and made lots of money, got their little network of bros and they managed to hang around for as long as they can. A lot of these people getting really desperate now. The same people over the last couple years who were using spyware, ripping off their customers by hitting their credit card 18 times, and advertising on sites full of stolen content, what do you think these guys are going to do next as they really get desperate ?? times are only getting harder and harder for them. Most of them have no skill just their old boy network and their ability to not give a shit and do what ever they can to make money. What are they going to do next.... it's just going to get worst.

I feel for the people who's content is getting ripped off. Who's sites are single handedly being destroyed. To even think that people support sites that have stolen content on it is mind blowing... And now people try to justify it with shit like everyone else is doing it, adapt or die.... why even try to rationalize with people here any more.

Don't think any advertisers have been banned recently, but I could be wrong I haven't paid a lot of attention last day or so.

There are already a TON of program owners, and 'people that matter' who voluntarily left this place long ago. Or more accurately I should say, no longer post here. They still read however, and keep up with the happenings.

How do I know?

Because they have said as much in ICQ or at a conference. Many program owners, and old classics simply do not enjoy having their business, or personally, attacked all the time by people barely in this industry with nothing to lose.

So a lot of the 'good people' have voluntarily went by the wayside years ago. As you can see, GFY is still here. Chugging along as normal.

As many old timers are forced to leave and head back to Fry World you are going to see them burning every bridge on their way out of town. What has happened to this point is the tip of the iceberg. Wait until some programs are teetering on collapse, and you are going to see a whole new wave of banging the dicks of customers in. New epic scams and rips off as much of this visible industry has to return to a normal 9-5.

I don't understand why companies even spend the 2K+ a month to buy ads here any more. Is it really that productive for them? seriously ? Its hard to believe. AMost of these companies laying off people, their sales in the shitter and they still advertising here? 95% of the posts are bullshit, mostly the same people here posting about a movie they saw this weekend or their car got wrecked, would you hit it, etc...

As recently as last year I would have said to find more affiliates. Now? I have no idea. None of us have the kind of traffic that we once had. A couple of years ago I could promote any site...any site...and do 50 + signups a day. I had that amount of REAL traffic. Now? All my surfers are at pornhub. I can't blame them. They had the choice of seeing a few pics and a minute of video and then have to pay for stuff. Or they can go to pornhub and basically see the entire porn industry for FREE.

Not only does it not make sense for companies to advertise here....there aren't any left who can throw that kind of money with zero hope of ROI. It's a vicious cycle.

A lot of people, still check GFY even if they do not post here. AlienQ follows this place like a hawk and could be a GFY correspondent reporting the GFY daily activities and bannings on other sites, and boards.

GFY has no bills - i think the VBulletin license was paid off years ago. Eric and Ice - GFY isn't their main jobs for Adult.com. Hosting - couple banner ads a month I'm sure cover that.

GFY really has very little overhead - it's a messageboard.

like tube sites themselves, this is all about greed and fucking over the hundreds and hundred of webmasters who've had their content stolen from them by this advertiser and the thousands of affiliates who have had their businesses reduced for some to next to nothing because of what this advertiser represents.

I was a paid advertiser who got banned 2 years ago because I pissed off TMI John... seriously, that was the reason. I didn't break any rules, I was just told to drop it. John kept bashing me, so I kept responding... and got banned. Don't know how long Iwas banned for but I stayed a way a long time. I only came back a couple months ago to try to find a good company to partner up with, offer some consulting. I still go days without even coming to this site.

I have never been much of a fan for message boards or places where average people can think they are gods because they have the power to (OMG) ban you. Not GFY specifically, all boards in general. Too many little people finally getting to feel special and let their "power" go to their heads. It's a fucking message board for chist sakes. Not to mention the trolls that hide behind fake nicks that run t heir mouths on here but would piss their pants if they met you in person.

For years I've been wondering what they do with their advertising revenue. Certainly not my business of course. But my theory is its either subsidizing other projects or total pocket cash for someone.

most eyeballs or not, I would bet anything 90% of the people here who advertise make about the same ROI as they do from getting a both a convention. Not to mention the way sales suck for just about everyone, there isn't a lot of NEW eyeballs or many people here with any amount of traffic to send to these sites... that don't already know about them. I'm looking at an Xbiz banner as I type this... I would have never heard of them before if it wasn't for that banner lol. Would they really have less traffic / sales next month if they stopped paying for their GFY banner ? I highly doubt it.

yeap... and i have always heard that playboy employees are not paid to moderate here, they are paid for other jobs they do with the company and help out here. Don't know if that changed or not. This site is almost 100% pure profit.

Greed will always get you in the end. How many paid banner spots up there? and on other parts of the site 30 - 40 ? average cost what $2,000 ? I paid more than that 4 years ago but I hear some people have sweet deals and pay a lot less. A couple skins a month, they have to be making 100K month with no overhead... a little bw? So try to push it and push it to make a little more, might just make the whole thing collapse.

I think the thing that is most frustraiting is that the big adult companies, merchant processors, messageboards like GFY, never took a hard stand, they don't want to pass up a buck. They could have lead the charge, set the tone and really rallyed people to make a difference. None of them wanted to, none of them cared, they were still making bank and honestly I think a lot of them look at all of us as just idiots.
