You are confusing 2 signals.. There is a signal that goes from your cordless phone to the base of the phone that is plugged in, this connectin has nothing to do with your line quality or what company service you use.. Then there is your LINE signal, this signal cannot be changed or reduced by moving the phone around your apartment, unless you are also moving the computer ( i.e. if your using a laptop )
