First off, I am not sure how my ability to write press releases has to do with anything. But as far as who has used our service, that it easy enough to discover.

Secondly, when I made that post it was what, 2:30 AM and I had just done the system restore, so I had yet to discover just how well my backups were going to work, much less whether or not it had actually saved passwords and bookmarks for literally hundreds of servers and sites. So far, I think only one board did not save the password, but I may not have clicked "remember me" on it. I don't visit it often.

As far as two weeks since the last backup, well, that equated to maybe 10 bookmarks that had been added in that time. I did lose outgoing mail, but since I save my incoming on all 15 accounts on their relative servers for 5 days, there is only a 10 day gap that I am missing. Anything that deals with support for GotWebHost goes thru our ticket system first, so to be honest, I don't even need to save it locally if I don't want. It is just more convenient for me to sort it in my own way locally.

Sorry Mikey, I wish I could be crying, but unfortunately, this even had a silver lining.

You see, a few weeks ago something got corrupted on my ICQ db and no matter what, it would not allow me to reinstall ICQ 2001B and I was forced to use this piece of crap version 6. Since I had to completely restore my system to an out-of-box state prior to using my backups, I discovered that my old version of ICQ (which happened to be stashed on a flash drive when I was attempting to find a work around) was now eagerly accepted and I am back to running my tried and true ICQ.

On top of that, I will be able to restore a couple years of history that I thought I was going to have to put in an excel file or something.
