I just Bought StopStolenContent.com I will put up a board for it this month.

This way every program, content provider and site will be able to post on the board if they want webmasters to report stolen content for them..

Everyone will be able to help eachother out because I know most companies dont have the resources to keep up with the content being stolen from them.

Its a very simple way to keep people aware of it. so they can DMCA

Any other ideas post away.

yes it can work, but you know how big your database will be? ;) and dont make the same mistake as a1rek at his board, dont leave it opened! i think it can be only by invitation cause if it will be working well and people will be reporting stolen content, what can take lifetime ;), it can be the best source for stolen content ;)

To be honest I'm not sure if I will sell add space but if I do and it requires hiring someone to maintain the board beyond our resourses I will.

If anything this board might slow down sites promoting programs with stolen content.
The way I see it, if a company wants to sponsor the board they are helping the effort against it.

After that its up to the company to deal with it the way they wish too.
if anyhting the board will put pressure on them to clean up the stolen content out there.

I'm not going to act as the police I'm just going to offer a source to help stop the thievery the board stopstolencontent should do that with the help of the industry

every company who wishes to be involved will have there own thread so people can post who's stealing there content. then they can DMCA them.

Keep it simple. It will magnify those stealing it and those who dont act on it.

Roger they are on large number of BT's out there, your aware what's on BT's?Its all stolen content for the most part.For change to come, you cant say this is bad but then support those who are fucking the industry up the ass.Also why not work with Airek then create confusion, this is what makes us so weak as a industry.We don't work as one.

All I can say is good luck with you're board Roger and it's great that you are taking a stance against stolen content, but I don't think many people will take you very seriously if you allow sponsors that are the one's funding these content theft sites to be allowed to advertise on you're site.
